Commercial photographic services are marketed to businesses and organizations, usually for publicity and advertising. Your commercial image needs may be met from a selection of stock images, or custom images may be generated on assignment. Following industry conventions, stock images are licensed for one-time or limited use, at rates appropriate for the specific use. Images taken on assignment, customized specifically for a client, are usually licensed for unlimited use. Creative design is also available.

Rates depend upon the type of service, the complexity of equipment and techniques needed, the duration of the assignment, and the location. The total cost is a composite of a fee for creative services, a session or day rate, and any specific usage fees. Major expenses (such as travel and media costs) are also billed. Delivery of the photos can be as slides, prints, or electronic files in various media & formats.

* Architectural & real-estate photography: *

Photos of old & new buildings for architectural & historical documentation. Photographic records of construction in progress. High-quality photos of business facilities, homes, farms & real estate for listing, appraisal & sales use.

This is a particular passion of mine and I am well versed and equipped to deal with the special difficulties inherent in it. From illumination issues, to perspective correction, no problem. Stereo, panoramic and immersive imaging are also possible, please inquire.

* Advertising & product photography: *

Photos of products for advertising, auctions, catalogs, & portfolios. Photography of fine arts & crafts a specialty. Documentation of collections for insurance, research & other purposes.

Photography of small objects such as jewelry and crafts poses special problems. The special equipment and techniques of macro photography are used to solve them. Shiny, reflective, glassy or metallic objects also pose many unusual issues. Again, I have a repertiore of tools and methods that address these quirks. Product photography is most definitely not a "point-and-shoot" discipline!

* Illustration & Editorial: *

Photos for use in books, magazines, newspapers & other publications.

* Event and public relations photography: *

Photography of groups, meetings, conferences, tours, games, openings, announcements, reunions & awards.

Styles can range from the candid and photojournalistic, to the purely formal.

* Executive and business portraiture: *

Compelling portraits of business people for press releases, annual reports, etc.

I try to find the essence of each subject in a portrait. Eschew the ordinary and be noticed.

* Performing artist portraiture: *

Performance candids, headshots and composites of musicians, dancers, actors, models, and others in the performing arts, for publicity, portfolio & album illustration.

Dramatic lighting and unusual composition are specialties. Dare to be different!

* Stock photography: *

Licensing of images from my extensive stock collection.
